A new Life: SLS free!

Lately I've realized that all, absolutely all of my shampoos and soaps have this ingredient in common: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, or similar ones, like Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate. Anyways, I'm not such a chemistry geek, but this SLS (ALS or SLES) is the worst thing that can happen to hair and skin! It's even proven that it's irritant AND cancerigenous if used for long periods of time!!
And why do most firms still use this ultra-dangerous thing on people's shampoos and soap? Because it is cheap. That's it, our health and protection doesn't matter against a cheaper ingredient.
What should we do?
First, start making your own shampoo! and if you're not that crafty or think that's too much work, buy baby shampoo, or check the at  Organic shops to see if there's a bio-shampoo that doesn't contain SLS.
Me? I prefer homemade shampoo. I still don't know how to prepare it, but my boyfriend's mum makes one out of Aloe! You can't imagine how my hair is looking lately! Since the very first day it felt smoother, moisturized and soft! I was like: Oh my! I need to do this often!
In case you feel like making you very own organic shampoo, I'm sharing many recipes I found in Buzzle.com
